In Word Reflections is Elisha Matthews, artist, mother and wife living in Whitby, Ontario. The heart of her work consists primarily of newsprint drawings and paintings, however, her work ebbs and flows with her creative interests.
The theme of “In Word Reflections” started in 2010, with the inspiration to turn the negative headlines she had been reading in her local newspaper into messages of positivity. She had a strong need to make art that contained positive messages about Love, Gratitude and Joy, etc. as her way of bringing balance to this sometimes dark world we live in.
